The 2012-2013 event marks the 20th year of the festival once again the lineup is huge. Last year we saw the likes of the Artic Monkeys, Kimbra and the Grates, while this year  some of the artists appearing include Hilltop Hoods, The Hives, The Flaming Lips, Maximo Park, The Vaccines, Angus Stone, Ash Grunwald, Boy & Bear, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Bertie Blackman just to name a few.

As well as music the festival also features a host of funny comedians, this year names like Jason Byrne, Felicity Ward, Nazeem Hussain and Sammy J & Randy will be pumping out the laughs.

The Falls Festival is so much more than a music festival; it is also a thriving arts centre. The festival village is home to some incredible art works and even workshops where people can learn skills like circus, dance and even puppetry.  For those thinking they have bit of talent to show off there is a people’s stage where you can perform and see if you have what it takes to be the next star.

The opening night of the festival promises to be a lot of fun. Boogie Nights is the theme and it’s a dress up, with a jungle afro-funk theme. It should be colourful and crazy fun.
