2012 Queenscliff Music Festival

The Queenscliff Music Festival is one of the regions biggest music festivals and dates back to 1997. Once again this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival has an amazing line-up of talent lined up for its November 23rd to 25th event, so people should think about tickets early because it is sure to sellout.

Performing on the bill is one of Australia’s most popular artists Missy Higgins, Missy is currently having huge success with her new single Everyone’s Waiting from her album the Ol Razzle Dazzle.

The Cat Empire returns to Queenscliff and if their 2003 appearance at the festival was any indication, they will be fantastic. The Cat Empire plays Queenscliff before heading off on an European tour later this year.

Another festival favourite is Something for Kate who return to the festival. Paul Dempsy and the band are back with a new album Leave Your Soul to Science after a long break.

Legendary 90’s band the Baby Animals will play the festival, this band was the first unearthed band discovered by Triple J back in in the late 1980’s. The band fronted by Suze DeMarchi is known for some classic Australian hits including Rush You, Early Warning and One World.

One of Australia’s biggest bands, You Am I is sure to be one of the biggest draw cards of this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival. The band headlines the Saturday night and haven’t really performed too much since their tour with Cold Chisel a late last year. Talking of Cold Chisel Ian Moss is also part of the lineup so there will be plenty hoping he belts out Bow River and a few other classic chisel tunes.

The festival features some 55 acts, 150 performances set across five stages in the festival precinct as well as on the “QMF Family Express” historic train and music stages in the towns unique and beautiful venues including The Queenscliff Inn, Vue Grand Hotel, Lombardys on Hesse and Stoked on Hesse.

Some of the other names playing this year include, Shannon Noll, The Beards, British India, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Fauves and Mia Dyson. Mia will be playing tracks of here brand new album The Wonder.
