Picks of the week Feb 13 to 19
Last week was a huge week in the region with the Davis Cup and Geelong Multi-Sport Festival to name a few of the huge events. This week is also jam packed, there is plenty of great stuff to see do and experience around the Geelong, Bellarine, Surfcoast and Great Ocean Road region this week here are a few of our picks. All Ford Day
Sunday the 19th will see Ford enthusiasts in their thousands flock to Deakin University at Waurn Ponds for the annual Kiwanis All Ford Day. Over 1000 show vehicles will on display and there will be plenty of trade and other stalls. Special guest this year is racing legend Alan Moffat. More Info..
Frock Up Geelong is on at the Geelong West Town Hall this Saturday and promises to be amazing. Frock Up Geelong is a Vintage Fashion market and special events which is coming to Geelong for the first time, it is also touring six other cities around Australia.
Festival of Glass
The 2nd Annual Festival of Glass will take place at the Drysdale Sports Centre in Drysdale on Sunday the 19th. This show will feature not only some beautiful glass but give visitors the opportunity to see glass being blown and turned into some incredible items. The event will also feature plenty of entertainment and some great food.
Shows and Entertainment
For a great laugh GPAC is the place to be on Saturday night with Australia’s biggest open mic comedy competition, RAW Comedy coming to Geelong.
Saturday night there will be a wonderful performance of The Merry Widow as part of Music Under The Stars at the 13th Beach Golf Club in Barwon Heads. The show will be performed by the Melbourne Opera Company and Orchestra will be conducted by Greg Hocking.
Music in the Gardens
Sunday the 19th sees another great evening of entertainment with another dose of Music in the Gardens, this week Soul Sister Swing will be performing some all-time classics.
Geelong Night Market
It’s the second last chance to visit Geelong Night Market this year. It’s the best thing to do in Geelong on a Friday night over summer, a wide array of tasty international cuisine; market stalls and fantastic entertainment- don’t miss it!

Torquay’s Cowrie Community Market takes place on the Elephant Walk on the foreshore on Sunday morning.
Inverleigh’s Market is held on Sunday at Victoria Park which you will find on the Hamilton Highway between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM
Memorial Square in Colac will be a buzz with the freshest of Western District produce and plenty of other items on Sunday when the Colac Lions host their Sunday Market.
