Picks of the week Feb 27 – Mar 4

Last week saw a pretty hot Pako Festa and the Ford Otway Cycling Classic, and the last of the Summer Geelong Night Markets amongst other things. This week there are also plenty of highlights including the Strawberry Fair at Wallington which promises to be massive and All Holden Day on Saturday

Sunday – Wallington Strawberry Fair

Wallington Primary School parents have been hard at work making their gourmet strawberry jam for this year’s Wallington Strawberry Fair. The Day runs from 10am to 4pm at Wallington Primary School on Wallington Road only minutes from Geelong on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula.  Read More

Sunday – Dachshund Derby Day

There will be lots of doggie fun at Inverleigh on the Golden Plains this Sunday with the running of the Dachshound Derby Day.

Saturday – All Holden Day

Who said Geelong is a Ford town, well it usually is but March each year the red team tries to takes over the birthplace of Ford Australia for a fantastic family event, the All Holden Day, yes that’s right Holden lovers venture into in enemy territory to display their polished treasures. Saturday – Warrambeen Film Festival

‘Warrambeen’ located in the Western District about 40 minutes out of Geelong is probably the most unique film festival in Australia, if not the world. They will show short films from all corners of the globe on five screens within a Sheep farm, ‘Warrambeen’. We also show Aussie features at night to the camping audience.

Sunday – Ocean Grove Craft Market

Get down to Kingston Park on Sunday morning for the Ocean Grove Craft Market there is always some great local arts and crafts.

Sunday – Steampacket Market

Located on Geelong’s beautiful waterfront the Steampacket market features arts and crats, plants, plenty of novelty items and gourmet goods plus some great snacks.
