The ANZ Family Day has become one
of the best ways to enjoy the first day of the year with
family and friends beside Geelong's magnificent
waterfront at Steam Packet Place.
This family event is free and
attracts thousands of people for a day in the sun with some
great entertainment, food and attractions for young and old. The
2008 event featured the Hooley Dooley's one of Australia's
favorite bands for the young.
The first day of the year
takes on a carnival atmosphere with heaps of rides, market
stalls, roving entertainment and some of the regions best
performers. One of the highlights every year is the mascots that
turn up you never know who you might see, Half Cat or Spiderman
or even the Kevin ANZ ATM.
