Thousands of families celebrated Australia Day at Geelong’s Rippleside Park enjoying a huge fun filled day of free activities in glorious sunshine. Organised by the The Lions Club of Corio Bay and the Australia Day Council the day included carnival and pony rides, petting zoos, face painting and a host of other fun activities for the young. Our emergency services put on a great show with fire trucks, police cars and SES vehicles. The Scouts and Girl Guides offered fun activities while the main stage featured some great entertainment including everyone’s favorite panda band the Mik Maks.
