The Birregurra Weekend Festival and Art Show celebrated its 10th year in 2009 and boy what a party it was. The festivities kicked off on Friday night with the annual Art Show and continued throughout Saturday and Sunday as Birregurra’s main street was taken over by musicians, vintage cars and even llama’s. 2009 was bigger than ever with a food and wine marquee showcasing some fantastic local product while an agricultural precinct was set up in the park to showcase the latest in farming technology and products on display. The agricultural precinct was also home to the world-famous Guinness World Record pig racing, wood chop competition and the always popular dog high jump contest and terrier races.
