In the spirit of the Geelong Speed Trials the Geelong Revival brings back automotive speed trials to Geelong’s waterfront.
The Geelong Waterfront will be alive with the sound and smell of engines as a magnificent collection of contemporary and classic vehicles take over the precinct for an amazing display of power and speed. Both cars and motorbikes will compete in a timed quarter mile along Richie Boulevard.
For spectators there will be wonderful spectator locations on the grassy slopes above Richie Boulevard as well as special packages and special passes where you can get up close to the action from the pits and holding paddock.
Over 500 vehicles are expected in a classic motor show to be held in the festival precinct over the weekend. Here you will be able to get up close in what will be an opportunity to see many of the rarer vehicles. Many local motor sport clubs and several clubs from further afield are planning to show some of their more special vehicles at the event.
The event promises to be a great family event, one highlight will be the National Vintage Fashion Awards. Here glamour will take on a new meaning with not only some beautiful automobiles but some very stylish competitors. The field are expected to dress in period clothing reminiscent of the golden days of motoring, with the fashions being judged by a panel of judges on Steampacket Gardens.
