The line-up is impressive with Cat Power, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, The Mark of Cain, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Dinosaur Jnr are just some of the massive list of acts playing the Golden Plains.

The festival takes place on the same grounds as the Meredith Music Festival, about 13 kilometres outside of Meredith about half way between Geelong and Ballarat. The venue is one of Australia’s best festival sites set amongst a natural amphitheatre known as the Supernatural Amphitheatre amongst a setting of magnificent ghost gums and tall pines.

The 2013 event will be the Golden Plain’s 7th festival and with such an impressive lineup tickets sell out very fast. A ballot system is used to allocate the tickets with any left overs (if any) being made available for store and online sales.

Like the Meredith Music Festival the famous Falmingo Bar and Eric’s Terrace will be in full swing during the festival with great food and refreshments.  The scenic Meredith Eye Ferris Wheel also makes an appearance at the Golden Plains.

Over the years the Golden Plains has brought some amazing acts to the festival including Gotye, 80’s electro act Gary Numan, You am I, British India, Hawkwind and the Black Lips just to name a few.
