The 51st Geelong Highland
Gathering will be held at Queen's Park, on Sunday, March
16, 2008, with the Scottish Heavy Games back for the
first time in four years.
The Games were discontinued
because of the high cost of public insurance liability.
The Victorian Pipe Band
Championships will be a major feature of the Gathering.
The gathering also has
gained Major Event status from the City of Greater
Geelong with funding over the next four year to expand
the program and marketing outside Geelong.
