Light the Night

On Wednesday the 1st of September hundreds of Geelong people will take a leisurely walk with specially lit balloons around Steampacket Gardens to Remember, Celebrate and Give Hope to those touched by Leukemia, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.

The special evening, known as Light the Night, was organised by the Leukemia Foundation to provide an opportunity to honour and remember loved ones lost to a blood cancer or related blood disorder, to reflect on the impact these devastating diseases can have on the community, and to give hope to those currently living with a blood cancer.

The Leukaemia Foundation is a not for profit organisation providing emotional support, accommodation, transportation and practical assistance for patients and their families, free of charge. The Foundation also funds research into better treatments and cures. Check out our photo gallery of last years festivities below and for more info on this years event go to www.lightthenight.org.au
