The 2004 Annual Meeting of the Ulysses
Biker Club was held at the
Geelong Showgrounds in the second
week of March.
A estimated 5000 bikers
attended the huge event pouring an estimated 12 million
dollars into the local economy.
The
highlight of the visit was the huge street parade which
brought the city centre to a standstill with families young
and old amazed at the sheer sight and sound of some 4200
machines humming down Malop street.

Motorbikes also come to town
during the
Geelong Speed Trials weekend, held in November
each year. Unfortunately there is no date for the
next Geelong Speed Trials
Many bikers took their shiny beasts on trips down the
Great
Ocean Road and to
Queenscliff and other seaside resort towns,
while others explored the vibrant waterfront and city area.
Honda Gull Wings, Harley Davidson's and
some very imaginative custom made machines were all favorites.
The
Geelong Showgrounds was turned into a
bikers paradise complete with one of the biggest tents ever
erected in the Southern Hemisphere.
