Christmas Carols in the region
We have all started celebrating Christmas 2009 and there are plenty of Carols events around the religion to get into the spirit.

The biggest is Carols By Candlelight which has been held for generations in Johnstone Park in the Geelong City and attracts thousands. Held Christmas Eve it is a Geelong tradition. This year there are some wonderful performers including Angie Hilton and the Geelong Three Tenors. Another popular local face straight from the Cats mighty 2009 AFL premiership win will be Half Cat, and news is Santa might even make a guest appearance before squeezing in the Geelong chimneys later that evening. The Johnstone Park Carols by Candlelight kicks off at 8PM.
The Corio Community Park will host carols on the 20th of December, kicking of at 6 PM, These carols are one of a number of community carols events being held around our region including the Ocean Grove Carols in the Park event being held on the 13th of December. Held at the Ocean Grove Park the event is very popular with young and old.
Highton Recreation Reserve will host the Highton Carols in the Park on the 20th of December starting at 7 PM while many of our regions churches and community centres are also holding special carol nights.
The carols are a perfect way for you and your family to join others in our community for some Christmas joy and escape the hustle and bustle of the hectic season.
