The Apollo Bay beaches are some of the region’s best beaches with sandy shores and pristine waters, just perfect for sailing, surfing, swimming and frolicking and that romantic stroll at sunset.

Between June and October the whales pass heading up the East coast of Australia and are readily seen playing around Apollo Bay and many of the spots along the Great Ocean Road and are a must see.

The vibrant Apollo Bay shopping strip has some pretty good places to enjoy some of the local seafood and produce, Buffs Bistro, Chris’s at Beacon Point and the Blue Olive are some of the more popular, while the Great Ocean Road Hotel Craypot Bistro serves up some of the freshest of seafood and a very extensive menu. With such beautiful farmlands, fresh air and closeness to the sea, the chefs of Apollo Bay’s restaurants and cafes have access to some of Australia’s freshest and best food- the taste difference is just amazing.
