The pastoral lands to the west of our city are known as the Golden Plains, and nestled among the wool and crops are some of the regions finest vineyards, with many making quiet a name for them self not only in Australia but internationally. More and more tables and restaurants have wines from the Moorabool Valley, Anakie, Bannockburn.
Many of the vineyards have open cellar sales and are very popular destinations on the weekend, while others are only open by appointment, contact the wineries direct for more information.
