Lorne is a great place to fish as there
are plenty of spots to pick from, although these can get
busy during holiday season. Situated on the mouth of the
Erskine River plenty of fish can be found along the river or
shorefront.
Popular fish found are trevally,
salmon,
mullet,
leatherjackets, flathead,
whiting,
snapper and
squid.

The Falls Festival is a popular
New Year's Eve event held in the farmland behind
Lorne. In recent years it has hosted huge acts like
Silverchair, Blondie, Iggy Pop and the Violet Femmes
to name a few..
If you want to get a spot on the pier the early bird catches
the fish, large barracouta have been known to be caught from
this popular spot.
