Fishing around Torquay

Torquay is the one of the most diverse fishing areas in the region.  There is great beach fishing, rock fishing and good boating to be had.

Breamlea offers good beach and estuary fishing with salmon and small gummy sharks being taken as regular catches.

Along Point Impossible and Whites Beach there are many rocky outcrops for great fishing.

  DID YOU KNOW?

The Torquay Sands Golf Course was designed by champion Australian golfer   Stuart Appleby.

Fisherman's beach as the name suggest is a good place for snapper and whiting. The boat ramp is here and it is a quiet safe place for swimming.

Zeally bay is the main swimming beach and tends to be shallow and weedy, but is good for whitting.

Offshore pike, snapper, shark and flathead are caught near many of the offshore reefs
