2018 Geelong Show Photo Gallery

One of he many highlights of this year’s Geelong Show was some fun on the main arena with monster trucks and rocket cars. The huge monster truck was as mighty as its sound, doing jumps and smashing everything in its sight while the rocket car with is incredibly noisy jet engine put smiles on young and old all wondering what was it all about.

The animals once again were stars of the show with some of our regions finest sheep, goats, poultry and even goats. Fine equestrian competition’s were watched by a huge crowd on the main arena as was the grand parade and spectacular fireworks extravaganza.

The sideshow alley had some pretty scary new rides with thrill seekers being flung in all directions and high into the sky in huge mechanical monsters. The screams were drowned by techno music and the blistering neon lights that blazed from the huge arms and rider’s capsules.

Sideshow alley also featured a huge array of showbags, skill amusements and the fantastic show food with fairy floss, waffles, burgers and the famous dagwood dog smothered in tomato sauce-
delicious.

Away from the adrenaline pumped action there there were some amazing crafts, cooking and produce to inspect in the exhibition halls and a visit to the show is never complete without a quick refreshment at the Showman’s Bar before checking out some of the interesting machinery in the vintage steam pavilion.
