Who needs Bunnings

During our 24.5 km of walking today we visited the engineering district. Here hundreds of small stores sold hardware, tools and other goods. Some even did cutting and welding on the pavement. They all seemed to specalise in random goods one shop might sell washers and string, while another bearings and hose.

An amazing dinner of Szechuan food, full of chilli and super hot Szechuan pepper. The most delicious food we have ever had but boy are we paying for it this morning. ..but somehow it was worth it

Never a missed oppourtunity

You have got to hand it to the Chinese, they never miss an oppourtunity to make money. This guy had one of the best ideas we have seen in a while.  Fill the public waterfall will goldfish and charge kids a few coins to catch them in a net.  He was doing pretty well.

Beer o’clock

Well its been beer o clock for a few hours all ready, so we continue the festivities and get taken to a market place that has been turned into a retro shopping complex filled with cool bars, gift shops and dining.  We enjoyed a few buckets of beer, a great way to end the afternoon.

The Bund is a huge pavement lining the banks of the river where thousands come out to enjoy the view, people watch or even get their wedding photos done.  Its a bit overcast but the view is still pretty flash.
