Oskaka by night

The Dotonbori precinct of Osaka is one of the best places to enjoy at night. The narrow streets are lined with neon, mechanical crabs, giant octopus, great food and thousands of people.

Amerikamura

Osaka’s Americkamura district is a youth fashion district with a heavy emphasis on all things American. There are vintage clothing stores – basically an American sourced op shop and plenty of Japanese made US like t-shirts and stuff many with really bad English E-merican slogans.

The tasty Fugu fish

The Fugu is a puffer fish and one of the special delecacies of Osaka, only problem is it is poisonous. If you eat the wrong bit you are dead in less than a minute. Special chefs need to cut the fish up before it can be served. YouTube Direct

Tsutenkaka is one of the popular entertainment districts with plenty of bars, cafes and attractions including the tower that was $7 that would have been better spent of beer or things on sticks.

On top of Osaka

We visited one of the new huge shopping complexes that featured a lookout over the city. The tower was about 50 floors and there was an hour long (or more) line to get to the top, so we turned left and got a free lookout just a few floors below.
