Tens of thousands once again flocked to Portarlington for the annual Portrtarlington Mussel festival one of the premier festivals in our region. They enjoyed a great day with perfect conditions and a fun family festive atmosphere. This year there was some sensational entertainment including a Fleetwood Mac tribute band and some great cooking demonstrations.
The parkland was filled with market stalls, food and drink stalls but the star of the show was the beautiful Port Phillip Bay mussels which were sold freshly cooked by many of the stalls and were sold by the box load in huge numbers. Here are just a few of the highlights of this year’s fantastic festival.
