Not entirely sure if it is a living tribute to freedom but the USS Midway is one impressive boat. This huge aircraft carrier is now a museum docked on San Diego’s waterfront. A great tour with plenty of tight stairs and heaps of things to see, including a impressive collection of jets and helicopters. Read the rest of A living tribute to freedom

The mornings activities included visiting the San Diego Old Town a historic recreation on the olden days, a bit like Soverign Hill without a entry fee. There was plenty of things to see and even more souvineers and trinkets to buy. Read the rest of Ye Olde Town

We cruised down the Interstate 405 in our lovely Chrysler Charger to our first destination San Diego.
