Downtown LA is in a bad way but new developments like the stunning Walt Disney Theatre and the entertainment district around the Staples Centre are bringing it back to life. The city would have been one of the world’s grandest early last century, there are some magnificent art deco buildings but they have slowly deteriorated over the decades. There are some amazing old theatres and hotels that are not in great shape but look as if they are just waiting for lots of dollars and some imagination to bring them back to life.
