We are heading to Japan but along the way we decide to stop off at Cairns and do a bit of a roadtrip though Far North Queensland. We hire a Toyota RAV and we head up the coast to Cooktown some 350 kms through Cape Tribulation. The scenery is incredible and varies from rain forest to arid. There are some amazing coastal scenes and lots of goats and cows grazing on the open plains.
We spend the night in Cooktown enjoying a huge schnitzel, the last for a few weeks and was it down with a few schooners of beer. The next morning we head back down to Cains for a day or two of relaxing before jumping back on the plane and heading to Nagoya on what should be an amazing couple of weeks in Japan.
