Tasty treats at the market

Today we visit Ameyoko Market that runs along the side of the railway lines in Ueno a few stations from Tokyo. This was once a black market market set up during the war, and today is a really vibrant place selling a wide range of products. At one end is food and especially seafood, there are some very confronting sights, ugly fish guts, slimy eels, huge octopus and plenty of other weird creatures from the sea, I’m sure they are all very tasty.

Further down there is a huge clothing area that leads to a sports gear market where you can buy just about any sports related clothing or equipment. Right at the end there are a heap of toys and a few wonderful toy shops selling a heap of great things.
