2014 Geelong Revival

The Geelong Revival is back for 2014 on the weekend of November 28 – November 30th. Geelong’s beautiful waterfront will come to life with a weekend of incredible motorsport and a host of other family friendly events stretched along the entire span of our waterfront precinct.

The highlight of the weekend is the speed trails that take place along Richie Boulavard below Eastern Beach. Thousands will flock to the lush sloping grass overlooking the bayside track to watch quarter mile sprints from over 300 classic, muscle and exotic motorcars and bikes.

This huge event is much more than a sprint race it is a family friendly festival with so much to see and do, with most of it free. There will be live music, artisian markets and a huge kid’s fun precinct. There will be classic fashion competitions, classic vehicle displays, historic caravan show, and a festive and exciting atmosphere.
Friday night will see a city cruise through Geelong’s streets and a up close look at some of the magnificent vehicles taking part in the events over the weekend.

The sprint action takes place from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Saturday and from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Sunday.

Steampacket Gardens will host a cinema on Saturday night will be home to the Shannon’s Classic Motorshow on both Saturday and Sunday. Transvaal Square will host a huge Motorcycle Mecca while the Revival Motor Expo will take place on the Eastern Beach Reserve to the east of the street sprint track.

Live music throughout the precinct will include the F100’s, Straight 8’s, John McNamara, Hank Jalopy Demons and Sky Rockets.

A highlight of previous Geelong Revivals and sure to be a huge success this year, is the National Vintage Fashion Awards where contestants are showcasing pre 1960’s fashion. Many of the costumes are stunning, and it should not be missed. The Awards take place from 12:00 PM on the Sunday at Steampacket Gardens.
