2014 Open House Geelong

2014 Gallery

Open House Geelong returns to our city on Saturday the 25th of October for what will be a unique opportunity to visit some of Geelong’s most unique and often closed to the public buildings.

Osborne House

This free event gives visitors the chance to visit the National Wool Museum, Barwon Water Office Complex, Osborne House, The Geelong Peace Memorial, Christ Church, The City of Geelong Offices, TAC, Geelong Court Complex, Courthouse Arts, The T&G building, Deakin University, City Hall, Customs House, GPAC and Simonds Stadium.

This is the second year of Open House Geelong and it is back bigger and better for 2014 with even more buildings open. This special program is being run by a dedicated group of volunteers who have worked hard with some of our region’s leading organisations to ensure a wonderful program has been created. Most of the sites in the city are easily reached with a short walk between venues and the city park and ride bus will be looping the city every 15 or so minutes during the day.

A few special highlights will include a chance to see the 2014 Emirates Melbourne Cup and 2014 Sporting Bet Geelong Cup on display at the National Wool Museum along with a host of fun family activities. A chance to visit the Alfred Deakin Ministerial Library and Lascelles Exhibition at Deakin University’s waterfront campus and a special opportunity to visit the grand ground floor function room and art deco features of the beautiful T&G Building that Deakin has recently purchased.
