Patrick James “Broken Lines” Tour
Patrick James fans will be delighted to hear that the Sydney sider is once again embarking on a huge national tour with his full band in tow. This time it’s to share the wares of his latest EP “Broken Lines,” which is available now through digital retailers and in stores on July 25.  James will be performing with Kina Grannis at Beavs Bar in Little Malop Street.

AFL Geelong Cats vs Brisbane Lions
It’s the last week of the home and away rounds for the AFL and Geelong are playing their last game at Simonds Stadium in Kardinia Park before heading into the final series next week. This week the mighty Cats take on the Brisbane Lions in what should be a pretty good game for the Cats how have a great record against the Lions who are having a dreadful 2014.  Anyway the four points are not awarded until the final siren so anything can happen – Go Cats.

Ukulele Carnivale & Chris Wilson
THe Uniting Church QUeenscliff is holding a fantastic double bill as part of the Winter Warmer Concert Series. The fantastic Ukulele Carnivale and legendary Australian artist Chris Wilson. The Importance of Being Earnest
GPAC’s Playhouse Theatre is hosting an amazing adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s masterpiece “The Importance of Being Earnest”. This play set in Victorian England features an incredible cast including Nancye Hayes as Lady Bracknell and Nathan O’Keefe as Algernon. There are four performances, one each evening and a matinee on Saturday.

Oxygen College Open Day
Oxygen College in Gordon Avenue West Geelong is holding an open day where visitors can learn about their incredible media facilities that include some state of the art audio and video production studios. This open day beginning at 11:00 AM and running through until 3:00 PM is ideal for anyone wanting to develop skills for a career in creative arts, performance, composition or music and video production.

Brown Ribbon Ride and Fly Day
The Lethbrige Airport on the Midland Highway to the west of the city is holding a fantastic day to help raise funds for the EJ Whitten Foundation and Andrew Love Cancer Centre. The day consist of Harley Rides and Joy Flights. Entry is via a gold coin donation, there will be BBQ lunch and plenty of fun including the K-Rock B Team. Harley rides are $10 and joy flights at the bargain price of $20. Bring the family and make a great day out of it.

Lorne Festival of Performing Arts
The Great Ocean Road resort township of Lorne is hosting their fourth Festival of Performing Arts this August in what will be an exciting series of events. The festival will feature the best in circus, cabaret, theatre, comedy, music and visual arts. Highlights of the festival include the Opening night Cabaret Spectacular. Brighton UK DJ, DJ Lornegerie, The Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Trash Test Dummies and the Simon Wright Street Show where Simon will juggle knives and other instruments while balancing on a 10 foot high unicycle. The Take 2 Market is back with a huge selection fashion and vintage clothing, footwear and jewellery. There are expected to be over 40 stalls selling a wide range of Australian and international items. This market takes place at the Geelong Wet Town Hall between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Oh What a Night!
Direct from the showrooms of Las Vegas Oh What a Night is a musical tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This exciting and vibrant performance features some of rock’n’roll greatest hits including Walk Like a Man, Oh What a Night, Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, My Eyes Adored You, Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, and of course Grease. This toe tapping action packed show is performing at GPAC’s Playhouse Theatre for one night only.
