Meridith Music Festival 2014
The legendary Meridith Music Festival is back for 2014 with an incredible lineup including Augie Mach, Mia Dyson, The Hard Ons, De La Soul and the Lemonheads. As usual the Meridith Gift will run on the Sunday afternoon and markets, cinemas, carnivals and plenty of fun. The only problem, is tickets, if you haven’t already secured your tickets you are out of luck as they have sold out.

Cars & Coffee fundraiser
The Peninsula Hotel and Old Skool Street Cars are hosting a special Cars & Coffee fund raiser on Saturday in memory of the small child that was tragically taken after an accident involving a forklift last weekend. This day will help raise funds a fitting send off while helping bring our community to terms with this sad event. There will be some amazing vehicles on show and all support would be most welcome.

Bell Park High Reunion
The old Bell Park High and Western Heights school is being demolished and as a fitting tribute the Quamby Ave campus is open between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM for a reunion of past students and teachers. For those who cant make it Saturday, there is a final chance on Monday. ..don’t be late for detention!

Melbourne Victory vs Canberra United
Women’s Soccer is coming to Geelong’s Simonds Stadium in a W-League match between Melbourne Victory and Canberra United. The match starts at 3:00 PM. Melbourne is 2nd on the ladder and Canberra are at position no 3 so it promises to be a fantastic match. Tickets are only $10, $5 for concession and under 14 are admitted free, tickets are available at the ground.

Toy Run
Geelong Hog Chapter’s 22nd Annual Toy Run begins at Deakin University’s Watefront Campus Carpark at 10:30 AM and travels down to the Queenscliff Foreshore in an amazing display of motor bike power. The toy run supports Cottage by the Sea, The Geelong Hospital Children’s Ward, Queenscliff Coast Guard and Bethany. This is one of the biggest and best toy runs in Australia.

Carols in the Park
Come to the beautiful resort township of Ocean Grove and celebrate Christmas in what is the Bellarine Peninsula’s biggest Christmas Event. This year world renowned opera singer Sally Wilson will be headlining the acts hot from performing in Opera Houses all around the world. The evening kicks off at 7:00 PM in Ocean Grove Park.

Little Creatures Craft Market
Little Creatures Brewery in South Geelong holds a craft market on the second Sunday of the Month. This market is the ideal place to pick up something special for your Christmas Gifts. The market runs from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Stop off for a pint of Geelong’s own ‘Furthy’ in the brew canteen and look out for brewery tours, they are a great experience and give you a up close look at the brewing process.

Christmas Carols at Osborne House
The magnificent Osborne House on the northern shores of Corio Bay will host a wonderful evening of Christmas Carols beginning at 6:30 PM. The homestead will form a backdrop for the event that will feature the Geelong Memorial Brass Band, St Bernard’s Choir, Geelong Trades Hall Choir and a huge line up of other performers. Bring a picnic rug and enjoy a great night.

Custom Car & Van Show
The Just For Fun Custom Car & Van Charity Show will be taking place at the Bell Park Sports Club on Ballarat Road Batesford between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This show will feature some amazing custom vehicles and vans. There will be some 180 vehicles on show and entry for spectators is just a gold coin donation that will go to the Police Blue Ribbon Appeal and Starlight Foundation.
