Harvey is Coming!
Harvey is on a quest to walk from Perth to Sydney in an effort to raise funds for the homeless after becoming homeless himself when he lost his job in the mines and was unable to find work. The donations have reached over $10.5k for Backpack beds for the Homeless donated by his supporters. As he is carrying his gear while walking (no support crew!) he can only carry a few supplies and relies 100% on the kindness of strangers for spare change, food, supplies and somewhere to roll out his swag for the night where possible.(all sorted for Geelong.) follow his story, share and come along on Tuesday for a BBQ Fundraiser from 12:00 PM at the Salvo Connect Barwon in Settlement Road Belmont. Life with Paint
Life with Paint is a social painting event that has been a popular event throughout Melbourne and even Queensland. The Carlton Hotel in Malop Street will host Geelong’s first event in what promises to be a fun and creative evening. A host artist will offer step-by-step instructions on how to create a 16 by 20 inch reproduction of the night’s chosen artwork. One of Australia’s fineset musicians Zavier Rudd is coming to Geelong with his band the United Naitons as part of a national tour that has seen an amazing apperance at Splendor in the Grass. The tour on the back of his new single FLag and album Nanna brings together a band from every corner of the glob.
