Market in a Suitcase
The Pako Makers Market is back on at the church at 178 Pakington Street. The market will see a novel approach with all stall holders selling items out of a suitcase. Expect to see toys, craft, vintage stuff, books, bric-a-brac… you name it! As long as it doesn’t breathe or leak its welcome to be sold. The fun starts at 10:00 AM and runs through until 1:00 PM Sellers don’t need to book, just turn up with a suitcase or two, open it up, and sell. $5 per suitcase – 2 suitcase limit). No trestles, tables etc. unless they fit in your suitcase.

Hamyln Banks Primary School in Chaucer Street are holding a terrific Twilight Fair. The fair will have plenty of activities for the kids including rides and games, a BBQ and dozens of fantastic stalls just in time for Christmas.

The Geelong Bottle and Collectible Club are holding a Car Boot and Market Day from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dean Street Scout Hall in Belmont. There will be a great range of interesting products and stalls are available.

Piccadilly Market
The popular Piccadilly Market is back for a massive two day event just in time for Christmas. The market returns to Deakin’s Waterfront Campus between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM. There will be over 100 stalls with a huge range of products including crafts, art, clothing, gifts and specialty items you wont find anywhere else.

Christmas Projections
The Geelong Townhall lights up with the spirt of Christmas in a dazzling display of colour and cheer. The projection show starts at 9:00 PM each evening and runs through until midnight. This year there are new scenes and a Christmas soundtrack to enhance the 20 minute cycling production. Read More

Floating Christmas Tree
Our world famous floating Christmas Tree is back and is attracting huge crowds. The 25 metre high tree floats in Steampacket Harbour on Geelong’s waterfront and is a must for any visitor to the region. The nightly light and music show takes place every night from dusk.

The Magical Christmas Wonderland is returning to Geelong for 2015 in a wonderful day of joy at the Geelong Showgrounds in East Geelong. The event will feature amusement rides, Christmas themed activities for the young, face painting, pantomimes and of course Santa and all our favorite Christmas characters.

Christmas Tree Lighting
The Point Lonsdale Christmas tree lighting has been a favortie event for families for decades, and its back for 2015. The evening kicks off at the Point Lonsdale Primary School at 5:00 PM with music and a visit from Santa at 7:25PM. Following some carols the tree will be lit at 8:30 PM. There will be stalls, BBQs and plenty of fun so bring a rug and enjoy a great evening.
