2016 Christmas Carols around the Geelong Area

The festive season carols kick off with Denis Walter’s Carols by the Bay at Eastern Beach on the 3rd of December. Now in its 20th year Denis performs with some of his friends including Humphrey B Bear and other great artists. Santa makes a guest appearance and the night concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over Corio Bay.

Warralily at Armstrong’s Creek is hosting a Christmas Spectacular on Saturday the 10th of December. The third annual event will feature some great talent including Dave Stevens, who is the son of AC/DC’s Bon Scott. The night will not only feature Christmas songs but some great old Australian classics. The sensational Deadly Dancers will perform and there will be market stalls, food and plenty of family friendly fun.

The Beautiful Werribee Mansion hosts the special Carols at the Mansion on Saturday 10th of December. This amazing features a nativity scene complete with real animals and the sensational Wyndham Combined Churches Carols Musical Team plus a host of other great artists.

The rural township of Winchelsea will host their Carols by Candleight also on Saturday the 10th of December. The evening will feaure a Christmas market and the Carols by the River. The event takes place just below the Barwon Hotel.

Osborne House in North Geelong will host a special Carols on Sunday the 11th of December. The Geelong Memorial Brass band and some of Geelong’s best talent will join hundreds of visitors in a great night of music and song.

The surfcoast township of Lorne will be holding their annual Carols at St Cuthberts Uniting Church on Saturday the 17th of December from 6:30 PM. The evening will feature Lauren Hughes and Steve Morrison. Get there early for the Lion’s Club sausage sizzle.

Highton’s Carols in the Park takes place on Highton Oval in Barrabool Road on the evening of Sunday the 18th of December. The evening kicks of at 7:00 PM and will feature everyone’s favorite panda band, the Mik Maks and the Geelong Youth Choir.

Sunday the 18th will also see the Lara Carols being held at the historic Pirra Homestead. This special event wil feature all the favorite Christmas Carols starting at 8:30PM. There will be lots of fun before hand including food and drink.

Geelong West’s Asbury Primary School in Waratah Street is holding a special Carols on the Grass on Friday the 23rd of December from 6:30 PM.

The Deans Marsh Cricket Oval in the Otways township of Deans Marsh will host a fantastic carols event on Sunday the 18th of December. The evening will feature the OMM Choir and other great performers. There will also be a jumping castle, bbq and open bar. The evening starts at 6:00 PM.

Anglesea will host their Carols by Candlelight on Thursday night the 22nd of December. This great event will be held in Lions Park.

Carols By Candlelight in Geelongs Johnstone Park has been a tradition for generations and again thousands are expected to fill the park this Christmas Eve for another amazing event.
