2017 Bellarine Show

Now in its 27th year the Bellarine Agricultural Show returns to Portarlington Recreation Reserve on Sunday the 12th of March adding to the huge array of events in the Geelong region over the 2017 Labour Day weekend.

The show is a great event bringing the best of the Bellarine together with a genuine and traditional country show theme. Art, craft, handcrafts and produce are key exhibits at the show along with some the Bellarine’s finest livestock and plenty of old fashioned country fun.

Kids will absolutely love the Bellarine Show there are so many fun and unique things to see and do including the Gumboot Toss, the hay roll, face painting,pony rides and even an animal nursery. The dog jump is another very popular highlight along with the sheep sheering and roundup.

For the first time this year R.M. Williams Longhorn Express will be visiting the Show. This incredible travelling exhibition full of great R.M.Williams gear has traveled than 750,000 KMs around Australia and this is one of the rare occasions it has been in our region.

The Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group also put on a magnificent display at the show with some interesting old cars, trucks, tractors and other contraptions chugging away. Be sure to visit the incredible chaff cutting display and see the vintage straw press and steam driven machinery.

This year’s show will feature some fantastic music with performances from Rick Peacock , Cat Sanzaro and the Black Sheep just to name a few.

For those in Melbourne, why not take the new Ferry service, the ferry leaves Docklands at 7:15 AM and 10:45 AM, with returns at 4:00PM and 7:30 PM The trip takes around half an hour and the Bellarine Show is in easy walking distance from the pier.
