2017 Classic Truck & Machinery Show
The Classic Truck and Machinery Show returns to the Geelong Showgrounds in East Geelong on Saturday 7th and Sunday the 8th of January 2017.
The show features so much to see and do and fascinates young and old with a huge array of interesting contraptions chugging and burping away. Highlights include some impressive steam driven engines, many being restored after being recovered from local industries that have upgraded or are no more.
There will be all sorts of farm equipment from the trustworthy tractor, to headers, generators and other interesting items that have helped work our land. Many of the machinery will be in operation including a wool scouring machine and many steam driven machines.
Truck lovers are in for a treat with one of the largest and most impressive displays of classic and vintage trucks on display. There will be rigs of all makes and models including products uniquely Geelong, like the International Harvester and early Ford.
The Lego and Meccano clubs will be back with their incredible creations as too will be the radio controlled trucks, aircraft engine display and the classic antique bicycles that have proved a huge hit in previous shows.
Over recent years this event has grown from strength to strength and is one of Australia’s best shows celebrating vintage machinery and attracts visitors from all parts of Australia giving them the rare opportunity to get up close to a working piece of history.
