There are plenty of things to do around the Geelong region this week, here are our tips for a great week of fun and entertainment.

January 1st – 7th 2018

Big Bash Cricket

GHMBA (Kardinia) Park will host a huge Big Bash Cricket event on Tuesday the 2nd of January between the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Sixers. A huge crowd is expected to the spectacle that will see both the mens and womens teams compete and a incredible fireworks finale.

 

Geelong Food Truck Fiesta

Returning after being postponed due to dreadful weather late last year, the Geelong Food Truck Fiesta will take over the Geelong Showgrounds in East Geelong between the 5th and 7th of January.  Opening at 5 PM on Friday and 12:00 PM Saturday and Sunday running through to 11:00 PM each night.

Entry is $5 for adults (18+), free for kids and includes a full day of activity for all ages, with market stalls and amusement rides and  around 25 different food trucks that have have various prices set for their tasty treats.
 
Ocean Grove Tranquility Fair  POSTPONED
 
The Tranquility Fair was to take place on Saturday the 6th of January but due to expected extreme temperatures it has been postponed until further notice.
 
Floating Christmas Tree and Projections
 

Sunday the 7th of January is your last chance to see Geelong’s amazing floating Christmas Tree and the stunning Christmas Projections on the Geelong City Hall.

 
 Drysdale Classic Car Show
The Drysdale Recreation Reserve will host a huge classic car and bike show on Sunday the 7th of January between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. There will be cars and bikes from all eras of motoring history with some wonderful examples on show.   See our photo gallery
