The Ukrainian Community Hall in Pakington Street, West Geelong are hosting the first in a series of Pop-Up cinema events. The opening night will feature a retro surfer double bill with Uncharted Water and Puberty Blues. The Courthouse Arts in Gheringhap Street is hosting the Freeza Push Start Regional Finals for 2014 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Trippe J’s Hayden Calnin will head line and Lochlan Watt from the J’s Racket Program will be a special guest judge.

Ashby Primary’s Market Day & Art Show
Ashby Primary School in Waratah Street West Geelong is holding their Market Day and Art Show from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be lots of fun for the whole family with plenty of tasty foods face painting, jumping castles and a fantastic second hand toy and book sale. The art display will be amazing with many works done by the kids of the school. There will be a high quality craft market and even a cake stall.

Celtic Legends
Deakin’s Costa Hall at Deakin University’s Waterfront Campus is hosting a night of amazing Celtic music and dance when Celtic Legends perform. The show from Connemawa in Ireland has toured the world to great reviews. The performance is bathed in Irish tradition and celebrates the land, the people, the pubs and the amazing atmosphere of this enchanting country.

Bellarine Relay for Life
Relay For Life is an opportunity to get together with your community to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against cancer. This years Bellarine Relay For Life will be held on the 8th and 9th of November, this overnight event runs from 12:00 PM Saturday until 12:00 PM Sunday. There are loads of free kids activities, live music, ceremonies and lots more! This event will take place at the Collendina Recreation Reserve in Minerva Close, Ocean Grove. Hope Fest
The Baptist Church in Spruham Avenue Norlane are holding a fun community festival. There will be plenty of free and fun activities for the kids including petting zoo, a haunted house, face painting and plenty of great local music. The fest will feature a market and there will be lots of tasty food. The day starts at 10:00 AM and runs until 2:00 PM.

SKART
SCART is a free community event that is taking place in Corio at the Fort on the corner of Melbourne Road and St Georges Road. This event will be huge with plenty of fun for all ages. There will be a mechanical bull, photo booth, atomic drop slide and lots of entertainment including jelly wrestling, tarrot reading and face painting. Stand up Paddle Race
Get Stoked at Eastern Beach II at the stand up paddle race. This event is a race on 14′ and 12’6 boards around a 4.5 kilometre course between Eastern Beach to Cunningham Pier and to Limeburners Point doing two laps.
