Legendary television celebrity Denise Drysdale will be in Geelong performing at Buckley’s Entertainment Centre in East Geelong for a morning melodies show. Tickets are available at Buckleys for the morning tea and show.

John Williamson
Legendary Australian artist John Williamson will be visiting GPAC Geelong on his Honest People tour. This is on the back of his and 50th album of the same name, and his launch of his autobiography ‘Hey True Blue’. This tour will feature songs from the new album plus plenty of classics that have made John a house hold name and one of the true icons of Australian music.

Flamefest
Flamefest is a free festival being held in the Link in the heart of Whittington. This family festival will feature a Halloween theme with jumping castles, roaming reptiles, food, art, Halloween costume competitions and a range of market stalls. The highlight of the evening will be a amazing fire sculpture that will be lit at 8:00 PM. The Link can be found behind the Whittington Primary School. The fun starts at 4:30 PM.

Recreating Beatlemania
It’s been 50 years since the Beatles toured Australia for the one and only time. To celebrate the Fabulous Beatle Boys will performing at the Playhouse Theatre in GPAC. This show has been touring Australia and New Zealand to rave reviews and features a performance of the Beatles show performed in Australia in 1964 plus plenty of other memorable Beatles moments.

Stupid Liar
Lawrence Mooney popular in the ABC comedy panel show Dirty Laundry will be in Geelong playing the Drama Theatre at GPAC in his new show Stupid Liar. This outrageous show centres around the fibs, tall and hilarious tales centered around the myths men need to stay alive. Critics have been unanimous in praising this show as one of the years funniest.

Toast to the Coast
The 13th annual Toast to the Coast is back for the Melbourne Cup weekend celebrating the amazing wine and food from the Geelong region. More than 30 wineries are taking part in this event that has become one of the best weekends on the Geelong events calendar. Wineries across the Bellarine, Surfcoast and Golden Plains take place in this event and many open to the public with gourmet food, entertainment and a wonderful showcase of their wine. There are buses linking wineries so there’s no need to drive, just kick back and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere.

Halloween Fest 2014
The Potato Shed at Drysdale is celebrating Halloween with a fantastic music event. Some of the region’s best up and coming bands will perform including Despot, Hope in Hell, Daymora and Dazed. The all ages event starts at 4:00PM and runs through until 9:00PM. Tickets are $15 and there is a $5 discount for those wearing Halloween attire.

Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows
One of Australia’s most legendary acts and ARIA award winning, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows will be performing at the Wool Exchange in Corio Street on Saturday night. Joe and his band have been a favourite for decades with a strong list of huge hits including Chained to the wheel, Harley and Rose, Hold on to me and The Chosen ones just to name a few. This tour is part of the bands The Certified Blue tour on the back of their critically acclaimed new album Certified Blue.

Derby Day Fair
St Mary’s of the Angles are holding their annual Derby Day Fair at their Primary School grounds in McKillop Street. The day will feature a huge trash and treasure market, great food, fun and games for the kids and a full day of great music and entertainment.

Ross Wilson Live
Legendary musician Ross Wilson will play the Gateway Hotel with his band the Peacenicks in a huge show that will feature many of his hits from nearly half a century of rock. Aria hall of fame winning Wilson has had a huge solo career plus front-man for some of Australia’s biggest bands like Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock, he has even played his hand at producing being responsible for huge albums like Skyhooks first three albums.

Portarlington Primary Market
The Portarlington Primary School is holding a market on the first Saturday of the month. There will be broad range of stalls including food, gifts, produce and many specialty items. There’s plenty of entertainment for the whole family including live music. Entry is free and there are plenty of free parking close by. Old Skool Street Cars are holding a special Coffee and Cars event at 181 Bellarine Highway (a few doors the Geelong side of the Peninsula Hotel).
