NightJar Festival
The NightJar Festival is back for 2015 returning to the Spring Creek Reserve in Torquay on Thursday night. between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The Nightjar is part market, part international food expo and part independent artists festival. This is final Torquay market this year, the Geelong season begins in Johnstone Park on Friday the 1st of February

The Festival of Sails
Corio Bay and the Geelong waterfront will be a hive of action for the return of one of the region’s premier events, the Festival of Sails. Based around the Royal Geelong Yacht Club the festival dates back to 1844 when the first Australia Day Regatta was held. There will be hundreds of yacht’s competing on the bay while on shore where will be a huge array of entertainment, markets, foods and activities for the whole family stretching from Eastern Beach to Cunningham Pier.

Live Stand Up Comedy
The Barwon Heads Hotel is putting on a massive night of comedy with two of Australia’s favourite comedians, Dave Hughes and Dave O’Neil. They will be supported by DJ Eddy in what will be one of the hottest tickets in town. Book now to avoid disappointment.

Miss Saigon
One of the world’s great musicals, Miss Saigon is coming to Geelong. Footlight Produtions are producing the amazing performance that is based around a Asian woman’s relationship with an American Soldier during the Vietnam War. There will be 10 performances of this incredible show at the Playhouse Theatre in GPAC from 23rd of January to 7th of February.

Frenzal Romb Live
Legendary Aussie band Frenzal Romb will hit the stage at the Barwon Heads hotel in what should be a huge show. This is one of the first shows the Doctor will do since leaving the drive time shift of radio Triple J. They are sure to do all their favourites including Never Had So Much Fun, A Man’s not a Camel and the crowd favourite Russell Crowe’s Band.

360 Live
Matt Colwell better known as rapper and hip hop artist 360 will be performing at the Barwon Heads Hotel on Australia Day Eve. This is part of 360’s Utopia Tour and one of only four shows he is doing in Victoria, with the others being in San Remo, Warnambool and Traralgon.

Model Railway Exhibition
The Corio Model Railway Club are holding their annual model railway exhibition at the Geelong West Town Hall in what is a spectacular show. Come and see some of the most amazing model railway sets that are sure to fascinate young and old alike. There will be vendors selling modeling and railway equipment and plenty to see. The 40th anniversary show runs between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Sunday.

Australia Day Children’s free fun day
Rippleside on Australia Day has been a tradition for families for generations and once again the Lion’s Club are planning a wonderful day to celebrate our national day. There will be more than 40 free activities including rides, animal farms, jumping castles and train rides. The day will see lots of great entertainers and there will be scouts, fire trucks, police cars and even pony rides. Bring a picnic or purchase something tasty from the food vendors and enjoy Australia Day 2015 in Geelong.
