Geelong’s Christmas Tree reveal
Christmas comes to Geelong on Friday night when Austalia’s biggest outdoor Christmas Tree is unveiled on Geelong Waterfront. This huge tree will be the centrepiece of what will be some pretty spectacular Christmas decorations around our city. The huge unveiling takes place at 8:15 PM when the lights come on in what will be a stunning display of colour and cheer.  Photo Gallery

The Clairvaux Christmas Carnivale
The Claurvaux Catholic Primary Schoool in Reynolds Road Belmont is holding their Christmas Carnival with plenty of fun for the whole family. There will be carnival rides, market stalls, gourmet food, raffles and so much to see or do. The day kicks off at 10:00 AM and over 3000 people are expected to attend. Josh Pike Live
Josh Pike will be performing at the Barwon Club Hotel as part of his current tour The Last of the Lone Wolf Tour, right on the back of his UK tour that spanned October and early November to great reviews. Josh will be showcasing tracks from his new and fourth album The Beginning and the End of Everything plus plenty of favorites. This show will sell out, so organize tickets quickly to avoid disappointment.

Private Sculpture Collection
This weekend there will be a rare opportunity to view a private collection of Australian Sculpture. There are 30 amazing pieces by various Australian artists, including Inge King (AM), Geoffrey Bartlett and Les Kossatz, are showcased in the garden at Bourke Farm 2235 Portarlington Rd Bellarine.
The garden contains predominately indigenous plants with magnificent views of the You Yangs and Corio bay. The owners have decided to take part in the Open Garden scheme for the very first time. The exhibition is open between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and has an $8 entry fee.

Geelong Museum of Motoring & Industry
The brand new Geelong Museum of Motoring & Industry opens in Geelong next week but there is a special sneak peak preview on Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The museum is in Mackey Streetn North Geelong just behind the Geelong Vintage Market. Read More

Run Geelong
The Cotton On Foundation’s Run Geelong is getting bigger and bigger each year. 100% of every registration goes into redeveloping the Special Care Nursery at the Geelong Hospital. This year the concept extends to other locations around Australia helping five other hospitals in Ballarat, Newcastle, Wollongong, Townsville and the Sunshine Coast. The Geelong event consist of a 6 and 12 km run from the Geelong watefront and around the city and suburbs. Last year over 12,000 people participated in the event and over $960,000 was raised for the Geelong Hospital, an amazing record that hopefully will be beaten this year.
