Music Fundraiser featuring Cam Henderson
The third annual Music Fundraiser on for the Geelong Animal Welfare Society ( GAWS) and Australian Working Dog Rescue ( AWDRI) will feature Geelong’s own Cam Henderson.  Cam will be performing on the night. The evening will also include lots of fun including raffles, auctions and some great door prizes.

Fyans Park Primary Christmas Fair
Fyans Park Primary School in Camden Road Newtown is holding a wonderful twilight Christmas Fair between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM in their school grounds. There will be lots of fun with face painting and show bags and lots of other activities for the kids. The food will be fantastic and there will be plenty of market stalls. So head down to Fyans Park for some great fun.

Kids Plus Festival
Myers Reserve Bell Post Hill is hosting the Kids Plus Festival. This great family event has a Gold Coin Entry. Lots of FREE activities. Santa will make an appearance along with some other TV characters

Geelong Revival
The Geelong Revival is back for 2014 and has cemented itself as the largest motoring culture in Australia. Taking over the entire Geelong waterfront precinct the Geelong Revival is a speed trial race, classic car show, fashion event and so much more. Psuedo Echo Live
Legendary Australian band Psuedo Echo will be belting out the hits at the Gateway Hotel in what should be a fantastic show. Know for their monster hits like Listening, Living in a Dream, A Beat for You and the amazing Lips Inc cover of Funky Town. The band is doing some gigs in preparation for a new album that will be recorded in February at the famous Viper Room on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.

Lara Christmas Market
Looking for that perfect Christmas gift, well give the Lara Christmas Market a try on Saturday night. This market at St Laurence Park on Station Lake Road will have a wide variety of home wares, clothing, fashion accessories, beauty products, toys and food making it ideal for Christmas shopping. The market starts at 9:00 AM and runs through until 2:00 PM.

Kids + Festival
Bring the kids for a great evening of fun at Myers Reserve Bell Post Hill for the Kids+Foundation Festival. The fun kicks off at 3:00 PM and runs through until about 9:00 PM. There will be animal farm, a magician, mini soccer, games an action, face painting and plenty of family friendly fun. There will also be a visit from Santa.

Christmas Projections
To further cement Geelong as the Christmas Capital of Australia the Geelong City Hall will be the backdrop of one of the most spectacular Christmas sights you will see anywhere. Artist Nick Azidis and Amanda Morgan who are famous for incredible works for Melbourne’s White Night Festival and some huge rock concerts have built an amazing projection show featuring Christmas scenes from our region. This display featuring state of the art animation and video should not be missed.

Rice Village Mini Fair
Rice Village in Marshall are holding a fun mini fair between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. There will be plenty of craft stalls, gourmet foods, Devonshire tea and even a spinning wall. A favourite is sure to be Granny’s Treasure Stall and Santa will be arriving on the back of a CFA Fire truck. The day will also include plenty of raffles a silent auction and fun for the whole family.

Rick Astley – Live
One of the 80’s biggest names in music Rick Astley will be performing at Deakin’s Costa Hall in his brand new Together Forever Australian Tour. Rick has had a string of number one hits and sold in excess of 40 million records worldwide.. Songs like Whenever you need somebody, the wonderful version of the Nat King Cole song When I fall in love and, She wants to Dance with Me and Cry for Help. But Rick is best known for his monster hit Never Gonna Give You Up that was crowned the number one single in 24 countries in 1988.

Vanished into Stitches Exhibition
The National Wool Museum has been hosting an incredible exhibition entitled Vanished into Stitches and is well worth a look. The exhibition features some incredible works by Ruth Marshall an Australian artist who is based in the United States. The textile works are knitted animal skins of some of the world’s most engendered species. The detail and craftsmanship of these works is breathtaking. This exhibition is entering its last few weeks and will end on the 7th of December so time is running out to see the spectacular works.
