2013 Geelong Revival

This weekend Geelong will once again host what is regarded as one of the largest motoring festivals in Australia, the Geelong Revival. Bringing back the legend of the Geelong Speed Trials the event attracted thousands of spectators last year in its inaugural event. This year with a cool Saturday and a warm Sunday expected the place to be is on our magnificent waterfront soaking up an amazing atmosphere and enjoying this free event.

The grassy slopes of Richie Boulevard will offer the best vantage point to see an incredible array of motor vehicles including cars and bikes all sprinting along the quarter mile boulevard straight. As well as the sprinting there will be several vehicle displays throughout the waterfront precinct with some amazing vehicles on show from all eras of motoring. But the weekend isn’t all about cars; there will be music, markets and even fashion. Last year the fashions of the field proved very popular and they are back this year on the Sunday remembering the classic styles of the 50’s. The event is tailored for the whole family featuring plenty of fun activities for the young with a kid zone and lots of tremendous entertainment. There will be plenty of places to relax and enjoy a bite to eat and listen to some awesome blues bands or just kick back and enjoy the car sprints. The sprints start at 10:00 Saturday and finish at 7:00 pm with the Saturday featuring more contemporary vehicles while the Sunday’s mix will feature more classic automobiles and bikes from yesterday.
