2014 Corio Model Railway Club – Exhibition
This year the Corio Model Railway Club celebrates their 40th annual Model Railway Exhibition and it promises to be the biggest and best yet.
Held over the Saturday and Sunday of the Australia Day weekend the event will once again take place at the Geelong West Town Hall in Pakington Street, starting at 10 AM both days and finishing at 5:00 PM on Saturday the 25th and at 4:00 PM on the Sunday.
This year’s exhibition will feature spectacular railway layouts of HO, OO and N gauges and are sure to thrill young and old alike, with incredible detail, imagination and craftsmanship. The amount of time many of dedicated hobbyists put into create these displays is these staggering but the results are fantastic.
The exhibition is a great place for anyone who is interested in getting involved with model trains and modelling. Not only will you have to opportunity to talk to dozens of dedicated hobbyists there will be plenty of stalls selling all types of railway set equipment old and new, ranging from trains, tracks, scenery and supplies, plus plenty of magazines, books and other media.
Some of the big names in model railways including Trainworld, Kerroby Models, Rail’N’Thusiast, and Rail & Road will have trade stands with a great selection of products and support.
There are a lot of events and things on over the Australia Day weekend around the Geelong region this year, this event is something well worth trying to squeeze in. It is a fantastic event and the whole family is sure to enjoy it.
